Simultaneously, it outlines the coping strategies for post-gastrectomy\nsyndrome through a comprehensive summary of previous studies. Method: We collected\nliterature delineating the challenges and coping mechanisms associated with post-gastrectomy\nsyndrome resulting from radical gastrectomy. Subsequently, we conducted a meta-synthesis to\nderive innovative conceptual insights. Results: Challenges related to post-gastrectomy syndrome\nwere classified into 19 categories, exemplified by [1. Pain during food passage through the\ndigestive tract]. Coping strategies were organized into eight distinct classifications, illustrated by\n[a. Embracing self-acceptance without a stomach]. Discussion: (1) Gastrectomy induces physical\ndiscomfort (Stage 1), prompting alterations in eating habits and lifestyle (Stage 2), subsequently\naffecting interpersonal relationships and work and potentially influencing future lifestyle choices\n(Stage 3). (2) The fusion of problem-focusing coping mechanisms enables patients with gastric\ncancer to perceive bodily changes post-gastrectomy. They engage in coping strategies, learning\nfrom these experiences.
