本研究の目的は，助産師教育修了前に，学生が認識した臨床実践能力を明らかにし，シームレスな臨床現場への移行を目指した客観的臨床能力試験（OSCE）の導入に向けた学修モデル構築への基礎資料とすることである．
方法は，助産師教育修了前の学生8 人に臨床指導者を中心に作成した事例を用いたOSCE を実施した．終了後，グループインタビューを行い逐語録に起こしたインタビュー内容を質的帰納的に分析した．
その結果，学生ができたと認識した助産実践能力は，【産婦を安心させる配慮】【家族を意識した対応】【経験に基づいたアセスメント】【経験を活かし聞くべきことを聞けた電話対応】【ケアにつながる情報収集】【リアリティのある現場の認識】【できたと認識した上での自己課題の明確化】の7 つのカテゴリーが抽出された．学生ができなかったと認識した助産実践能力は，【産婦を安心させる配慮】【家族を意識した対応】【深まりのあるアセスメント】【母児双方への対応】【チームで行う助産実践のための情報共有】の5 つのカテゴリーが抽出された．
以上のことから，学生が認識した助産実践能力は，これまでの演習や実習などでの経験が大きく影響しており，演習や実習での成功体験が自己の達成度や能力の認識につながっていた．また，修了前に助産実践能力の確認を行うことは，学生自身が自己の能力を認識するとともに，自己課題の明確化につながった． |

The purpose of this study was to clarify student self-perceptions of midwifery competencies before completing midwifery education as a basis for constructing a learning model to promote the adoption of the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) for students to seamlessly participate in clinical practice.
OSCE using some cases formulated mainly by clinical supervisors was conducted for 8 students before completing midwifery education. Subsequently, a group interview was conducted with the students, and the interview data were organized as narrative records for qualitative and inductive analysis.
The students highly rated their achievement levels in the following 7 categories of midwifery competencies: [giving appropriate consideration to comfort parturient women], [providing family-centered approaches], [conducting experience-based assessment], [appropriately handling phone calls based on experience], [collecting information for care], [understanding realistic settings], and [clarifying one’s personal challenges after rating his/her achievement level]. In contrast, they rated their achievement levels as low in the following 5 categories: [giving appropriate consideration to comfort parturient women], [providing family-centered approaches], [conducting deeper assessment], [appropriately managing both mothers and children], and [sharing information to perform midwifery practice as a team].
The results revealed that student experiences through previous practice and training markedly influence their self-perceptions of midwifery competencies, as the students highly rated their achievement levels and abilities based on their successful experiences through previous practice and training. Confirmation of their midwifery competencies before completing midwifery education also helped them realize their abilities and clarify their personal challeng. |
